hi, i have a question about male geishas! to be more precise, i do not mean taikomochi, but rather a geisha like Eitarou of Tokyo's Omori. i've been wondering if it has ever been a common practice? or is Eitarou truly an exception and the first male geisha to consistently perform as a female geisha only?

Hi, thanks for your message as this blog is very inactive these days (real life): As far as I am aware he is the first ‘crossdressing’ geisha to put it so (for a lack of better word).
